Let s help Leo Gnawa secure a year worth of rent, so that he can keep writing as a self-published homeless activist author whose self-proclaimed mission is to create awareness about homeless. Leo Gnawa experienced chronic homelessness in Washington DC and got himself out of homelessness 4 years ago by self-publishing 4 books and selling them on the street and online. His books, Homeless Lives Matter, Homeless My Story; Survival And Life, The Lessons I Learned, Overcoming Homelessness, Homeless People Are Human Beings Too, are available on Amazon and on his website. Leo also sells his books outside on the street corner in downtown Washington DC to keep a roof over his head. Recently he has experienced a host of issues, many of them health related, that have slowed down his book sales. He is now facing an emergency to raise enough to keep his place. In order to be able to focus on his writing and activism, Leo would like to raise a year's worth of rent money. Let s help him raise $20,000 so that he can keep a roof over his head for at least a year and be able to write more books to enlighten us on the issue of homelessness and also motivate and encourage others to overcome adversities and keep trying to make life better for themselves and for others.
