Help Leon Benson reenter society post-exoneration!

Being in prison wasn’t a choice for my brother. My name is Valerie Buford and I am the sister of Leon Benson. On Thursday, March 9, my brother was exonerated by the state of Indiana after serving 25 years in prison for a crime he DID NOT commit. I’m reaching out as an ambassador for my brother Leon. I know he has a lot to offer the world as a leader, motivational speaker, rap artist, and activist. He's currently staying in Detroit with me, and his debut album will drop on Die Jim Crow Records in the Spring. Though he's got stable housing for now and a music project near release, right now Leon needs financial support from the people. I’ve created this platform to allow the world to help him. I don’t think it’s fair for my brother to have a burden on the bare necessities after serving all that time for a crime he did not commit. My hopes and prayers are that his burden will be lighter with your act of kindness. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all, with love, Valerie Buford and the Benson Team. Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'” You can also donate to Leon's Amazon wish list here.
