Help Leonor Niusa get her deserved surgery
Donation protected
A woman in the Philippines has spent the last 15 years with her bottom lip stuck to her chest following a fire at her workplace.
Mum-of-three, Leonor Niusa, was working at a farm in 2004 when a storage room containing gasoline caught fire because of a candle she used as a light source.
The 43-year-old was able to escape from the blaze in Zamboanga City, but she sustained horrific burns across her face and body.
Despite the severity of her injuries, she didn't go to see a doctor due to fears she wouldn't be able to afford her medical expenses.
Untreated, her wounds eventually healed, but her bottom lift was left attached to her chest, making it impossible for her to work due to her limited movement. Instead, she and her youngest son now travel from town to town asking for donations.
Now, locals in the area are hoping to raise enough money to pay for the relatively routine procedure that could give Leonor her life back.
I'm hoping we can help her.
