Help Leslie Beat Breast Cancer!

Dear friends, I have cancer—a rare form of it called Paget’s Disease of the Breast. By this time tomorrow, I will be out of surgery and on my way home to start my recovery, which will be successful. Radiation treatments will begin in October, and those will be successful, too. I am physically and emotionally strong, I have a great surgeon and oncologist in Pittsburgh, a loving family who is standing by to help me, and I’m feeling positive about what tomorrow will bring.
Recovery will certainly drain my resources, so YES, I will graciously accept your good vibes/Reiki energy/positive thoughts/prayers, offers of food and company, help with small house and garden projects, book and movie suggestions, someone to join me on walks and to laugh with—the good deeds and helpful acts of everyday life.
For those who enjoy my art: your interest in my work keeps me going through challenging times. Once my energy returns, I’ll add new pieces to my Etsy site, but in the meantime, please consider purchasing a gift certificate from my online shop at www.etsy.com/shop/LGGCreativeArt. They never expire and can be used to purchase custom work, private lessons on the pottery wheel, or any of the pieces that I have in my home and in storage (I am planning to host an Open House once I feel up to it). Lastly, there are three wonderful galleries in Pittsburgh that are well-stocked with my work, and I encourage you to visit them in person:
1) Concept Gallery in Regent Square–1031 South Braddock Avenue, [phone redacted], www.conceptgallery.com (pieces from the Artifact Collection and porcupine quill wall rings)
2) Argyle Studio in Oakland—3608 Forbes Ave, [phone redacted], [email redacted] (pieces from the Botanical Collection, black and white dinnerware from the Artifact Collection, ceramic pumpkins, and a wide array of Tiny Pots)
3) Pittsburgh Acupuncture & Massageworks in the Northside—209 Western Ave, [phone redacted], www.pghacuandmassage.com (pieces from the Metallic Collection, ceramic jewelry, pumpkins, and Tiny Pots)
I am already dreaming of making new art, salsa dancing, gardening, and working out again just as soon as my body is ready. Your positivity will be the wind in my sails, and I thank you for that. Pottery Girl has GOT this, as evidenced by my willingness to jump for joy on a wet and rainy beach a week before surgery.
