Help Leslie get needed surgery
Donation protected
My name is Carolyn Sheldon. My daughter, Leslie Brown, is a breast cancer survivor of 5 years. Last June they found a metastatic brain tumor. She had surgery to remove the tumor. After surgery there were complications and she developed 2 blood clots in her brain they had to remove and she also had a stroke. She was not expected to live. After 2 1/2 weeks in ICU and another week in the hospital she was moved to a rehabilitation care center. She was unable to do anything for herself. With physical therapy she slowly regained use of her hands, arms, legs, and feet, and her eyesight improved. They did radiation treatments on her tumor, which helped shrink it. After 2 months in care facility she was able to return home. Through many prayers several small miracles have happened. With her determination and positive attitude she has continued to heal and get stronger. She can now walk short distances with a walker, and transfer in and out of bed and a chair. However, she is mostly confined to her wheelchair or in bed. Unfortunately she just found out her tumor is growing back. The best treatment for her with the least side effects is a gamma knife surgery. Unfortunately, her insurance will not cover the cost of the procedure, which is $67,000. Without treatment the tumor will continue to grow. Please help her get the money she needs for this surgery. If unable to donate at this time please share. Thank you in advance for all your help, love, and kindness.
