Help Levi, the rescue doberman, to walk again

Donation protected

The new $6000 surgical deposit must be made by December 5th, to ensure the surgery goes forward. Levi's test for Von Willebrand came back positive, causing an increase in the cost for surgery.

Costs paid to date already (by the family) total $4619, the surgical deposit is $6000, will costs very likely to be $7-8,000. Any additional money collected would be used for any costs incurred over the deposit, and any aftercare, including physical therapy.

Direct donations for Levi's surgery can be made directly to the surgeon, if you prefer. Please call the office, and ask for Haley, and let her know that you are donating for Levi's back surgery. Visa,  MasterCard and Care Credit accepted now.  Please see updates for invoice on treatment already received, and proposed surgical costs.

We are helping Levi, a blue doberman, and his new family, raise money for surgery that will allow Levi to walk again, and live a normal dog life. Levi was just rescued from a neglectful, and possibly abusive, situation last week. He arrived at his new home this past Saturday, 3 days ago. The adopters, and rescuers, had no idea that Levi had serious medical issues. We just thought he was weak, due to lack of care, and food.

After being a beloved pet for 5 years, Levi was tossed out into the cold ❄️, and not cared for, after his owner passed away. His only food was a busted up bag of dry food from the Dollar store, tossed into the yard. He was so skinny, all his ribs were showing. He only survived because a neighbor went by, and fed him. We estimate Levi was neglected during the month his mama was hospitalized, and then the month after she died.

Levi was diagnosed today with several acute, ruptured discs in his back, at a neurology visit. Levi's family adopted him sight unseen, only knowing that his owner passed, and he had no one to care for him. They never expected to be taking him to the family vet on his 2nd day with them, and a neurologist on his 3rd day. The neurologist visit today was $3952.70, receipt provided in the updates. That bill had to be put on credit today, to obtain a diagnosis. The estimate for corrective back surgery is another $4000-5000. You can find a copy of this invoice in the updates as well. Therefore, I have set the overall goal at $8000.

I am going to collect the funds on behalf of the family. If you wish to send via PayPal or Venmo,  just message me please.

I will provide regular updates, and feel free to email me directly, if you have any questions. The goal is to help Levi walk again, and help his new family with these totally unexpected costs.
