Help Lexa with Bellini's vet bill.

Most of us in the dog world have been taken by surprise at the worst possible moment by a poor decision one of our dogs has made.

Our friend Lexa has had just that happen. She returned from DCA and her 5 month old puppy Bellini promptly decided to consume a LARGE rock. He went to the emergency vet where they did fluids and enemas to try and get the obstruction to pass. Sadly it was so large and wedged in place surgery was necessary. Bellini made it through surgery and is recovering well. He is eating small meals, and his intestines are responding well. Lexa is a teacher, and as most of us know, we don't pay our educators well. She also just had to put a deposit down on a new rental since her landlord opted not to renew her lease. Her "what if" monies had to go to the deposit on the new rental. The vet that did the surgery isn't her normal vet, and they want full payment when he is released in 48 hrs. This leaves her with a staggering vet bill and, unfortunately, a very short window to get the funds together.
