Help Liam Martinez on His Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Thursday April 18th, Liam Martinez, 6 years old, was playing in his backyard like any typical afternoon when out of nowhere he was aggressively attacked by 3 dogs owned by a neighbor who lives down the road. He sustained many injuries to both of his legs and had to be life flighted to USA Trauma Hospital in Mobile, AL. where he immediately was taken into surgery. His right leg is far worse than his left, as they were unable to repair a muscle in his right calf due to it being completely shredded. In multiple areas his injuries were to the bone causing severe nerve damage along with a good bit of skin missing or dead in multiple areas.
Liam has a long road of recovery ahead of him. There are more possible surgeries to come, physical therapy, and potential plastic surgeries. He has stayed so strong through all of this and continues to prove that to everyone daily.
We wanted to start this Go Fund Me in order to raise money to help the family with expenses during this difficult time. His mother and step father will be out of work for the foreseeable future, due to traveling to and from Alabama multiple times a week getting him the care that he needs. All donations will go straight to his family for medical and traveling expenses. If you or your family have ever been through a unexpected trauma then you know every little bit helps.
Above all else, they do not know what his future looks like at this time, but would greatly appreciate any prayers and positive thoughts for Liam.
