Hello everyone,

My name is Kimberly Baer, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my incredible mom, Liana Baer. At 67 years old, she has always been a beacon of strength, love, and resilience for our family and everyone who knows her. She has a vibrant spirit and is an avid lover of art, books, dragons, and all things sci-fi.

Recently, our world was turned upside down when my mom was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, stage 4. This is her third battle with cancer, having triumphed over it twice before. What started as a visit to the ER for back pain quickly escalated into a devastating diagnosis. Now, she faces an incredibly challenging journey ahead with radiation treatments, hormone therapy, and carcinogenic treatments.

The cancer has significantly affected her mobility, making daily tasks incredibly difficult. We are hopeful that radiation will improve her condition, but the emotional toll on our family is immense. We need our loving, caring mom now more than ever.

The financial burden has been overwhelming, with medical expenses already exceeding $100,000 and continuing to rise. These costs include radiation, clinic visits, medications, ER visits, hospital stays, and trips to a world-renowned cancer hospital. My mom’s inability to work has severely impacted the income of our family business, where she played a crucial role as the office manager. My father has also had to cut back on work to be there and care for her, adding to the financial strain. In a remarkable act of love and solidarity, my aunt is even mortgaging her house to help cover the costs of treatments.
