Help Liana Overcome Her Medical Crisis

Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well. Today, I'm reaching out to share a story that's deeply personal and meaningful to me. Please take the time to read Liana’s story:

Last July, Liana was experiencing some hearing loss. After being told it was just an ear infection, she started a round of antibiotics. The medicine did not help and a different doctor told her she may just need a hearing aid. At this point, Liana was suffering from daily migraines and jaw pain along with neck and back pain. She assumed this was from stress or TMJ so she continued with her life, going to work during the day and school at night despite the discomfort.

This continued for months and the pain and ailments were not getting any better . Finally her mother and boyfriend convinced her to see a specialist. A possible tumor never crossed their minds but when she failed two hearing tests, the doctor wanted her to get an MRI to rule out a tumor diagnosis. Unfortunately her MRI showed a large tumor near her brain.

Liana ended up having major brain surgery on April 25, 2024. With the tumor being so large and located near the brain stem, the removal caused brain swelling and a postoperative brain hemorrhage. Life saving measures were taken but she was declining rapidly. The doctor had to act fast. There was no time for a sterile OR and no time for a scan. He had to go in blind and put a needle in her head to place a drain to help save her life.

Liana has been on a breathing tube ever since and may need to be for a couple more weeks. At that point she may need a trake. Right now she still has blood in her brain that her body has not absorbed. There is swelling in her brain and throat. Liana is on insulin, blood pressure medications, antibiotics and other medications.

We are putting this GoFundMe page together to help Liana with her medical bills. Liana graduated in December 2023 from Esthetic School while suffering from all of the health issues that came with this tumor. She owns her own business, Luxe Beauty by Liana, in Orange CT. Unfortunately she does not get paid if she is not working. While she had planned for 2 months off, right now it looks like it is going to be much longer. On top of time off from work, she is getting hit with major medical bills. Anything will help take the stress off her while she is recovering. Thank you
