Help Light the Path to Recovery for Brenda Chabot

To say that our mom, grandma, and friend, Brenda Chabot, lights up any room is a good place to start telling her story. But that description also doesn't quite capture the way that her life has touched so many others for good. Throughout her life, Brenda has been a strong advocate for people with special needs and their families, an inspiring mentor to countless others, and a courageous example of her faith.

But above all, Brenda's life has centered on family. As a wife and mother of 11, and grandmother of 34, she has dedicated her life to making sure that those around her are provided for and taken care of. Those who know her benefit from her warm and welcoming smile, and her home has long been a hub of activity for friends and family alike. She makes every birthday and holiday a memorable event, filled with fun, laughter, and lots of good food. And in her small Orem, Utah neighborhood, her Fourth of July block parties are legend.

Recently however, Brenda has been faced with a challenge none of us could have expected. Our mom and friend, the woman who has always given all of herself, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She is undergoing treatment to fight this terrible disease. As the bills pile up, her family is struggling to find the funds necessary for her care.
