Support Liliana After Losing Her Home to Altadena Wildfire
Donation protected
Dear Community,
I am a friend and work colleague of Liliana Ramirez, a brilliant researcher, immigrant rights advocate, and all-around wonderful person who lost her home in Altadena on January 7th to the Eaton wildfire. At the start of the windstorms, she lost power in her apartment and left for her parents’ home to be able to work remotely. She was still there by the time her neighborhood was evacuated, preventing her from collecting any of her belongings before they were destroyed. All she has now are the clothes on her back.
Liliana grew up in El Monte, CA. She has dedicated her academic and professional careers to immigrant justice.
Please support Liliana so that she may start the process of healing and rebuilding—and eventually return to doing what she loves most: advocating for a world in which everyone can thrive.
Any and all support is greatly appreciated. <3
With gratitude,
Tasha
P.S. In full transparency, I am collecting funds on Liliana's behalf, to eliminate the burden of her having to set up her own account during this extremely difficult and stressful time. I am based in Oregon and 100% of funds raised will be disbursed to Liliana in California.
