Help Lilith Artinian Bring ABRAXAS to Life

Donation protected
I'm Lilith Artinian, a Senior Filmmaking student. For my senior project, I'll be directing a genre-bending cosmic horror film that explores the issue of gender politics in America told from a distinctly queer perspective. Though the film, ABRAXAS, is set within a heightened reality that involves a trans-dimensional creature wreaking havoc in a secret government research facility in the 1980s.

Throughout my life I’ve worked on many different projects, including the fantasy film DARKNESS OVER BONGAIA and the psychological drama GHOSTS OF MY LIFE. Now as a senior in film school, I’m working on my most ambitious project yet: ABRAXAS, a science fiction psychological horror film, but I can’t complete it without your help! Abraxas follows the young military psychologist Helene, who works in a mysterious research facility. As the secrets of the facility begin to reveal themselves, Helene realizes that not everything is as straightforward as it first appears.

Themes of patriarchy and the treatment of women under capitalism are common in my work, and Abraxas is no different. Though not a documentary, a lot of the perspective of Helene and the events in the story reflect my lived experience. Filming is set to begin within a month and I need to raise funds to cover the production expenses.
The funds I am asking for will go to the following: • Equipment Insurance (1,000) • Location fees (1,000) • Props (600) • Costuming (600) • Travel and Meals (700) • Set pieces (600) TOTAL GOAL: $4,500
