Help Lilly and Trenton Rebuild After Flood
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts and a humble request for your support. Our family, and friends, Lilly Mendoza and Trenton English, two dedicated college students, recently faced an unimaginable disaster when their apartment was devastated by a sudden flood. In the blink of an eye, they lost everything – their belongings, their school supplies, and their sense of security.
On 8-6-2024, The Mendenhall glacier released flooding into a non-flood zone area, overwhelming the local infrastructure. Despite their efforts to salvage what they could, the water quickly rose, leaving their apartment in ruins. Their textbooks, laptops, clothes, car, and personal items were all destroyed. They did have renter insurance, but it does not cover flooding. The emotional toll of this loss has been immense, and they are struggling to come to terms with what has happened.
As they navigate the challenges of rebuilding their lives, we are asking for your help. The expenses of replacing essential items and continuing their education and having jobs are overwhelming. Every dollar raised will go directly towards:
- Replacing lost school supplies, textbooks, and technology
- Relocating to a new apartment and buying new or used furniture
- Covering basic living expenses during this difficult time
Lilly and Trenton are passionate students who have always been committed to their education and community. They are determined to overcome this setback and continue their studies, but they need our support to do so.
No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a significant impact. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. Your support will help restore hope and stability in their lives during this challenging time.
Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for any support you can provide. Together, we can help Lilly and Trenton rebuild and emerge stronger from this disaster.
With gratitude,
