Help Lily attend The New York Times Summer Academy

Hi, My name is Melanie, and if you know me you know I take aunt life very serious. My niece Annelise (aka Lily, Annie, Anna Banana) has earned an incredible opportunity to attend The School of The New York Times Summer Academy. Annelise has worked tremendously hard to not only get into this program, but she will also be inducted into the National Honor Society this year. I can continue to list a myriad of academic achievements that she has accomplished, but what that doesn't showcase is the incredible person Lily is. She displayed a giving spirit from a very young age, even asking her family to donate to Southington town services for her 5th birthday, instead of getting her gifts. (We did both). She believes in charity and helping wherever she can. Her dream is to be a journalist and to use her writing as a medium to document current events, news, and social issues, providing readers with an account of what is happening in the world. Lily found out she was accepted a few days ago, and she has been saving for the tuition. She is trying to do this without asking her parents for help, which is in true Lily fashion. But no one said Auntie can't help, so that is what I am doing. This is an incredible opportunity for her, and I would love to help her make this happen. Thank you for reading!
