Help Lily Fight for Her Health
Donation protected
We are reaching out to ask for your prayers, support, and generosity during an incredibly difficult time for our dear friends, Ashley & Charles Wan, and their sweet 20-months old daughter, Lily.
While traveling in the Philippines, Lily’s health took an unexpected turn. What began as a high fever quickly escalated when her airway started closing, landing her in critical condition. She was taken to the hospital and has since tested positive for Covid with croup. She is now in the isolation room of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St. Luke’s Medical Center, fighting to recover.
Lily is receiving intensive treatments, including:
• Oxygen therapy via a high-flow nasal cannula to assist her breathing.
• Racemic epinephrine nebulizer treatments every two hours to help open her airway.
• Remdesivir, an antiviral medication, to combat Covid.
Her recovery timeline is uncertain, but doctors anticipate a minimum stay of seven days or more in the PICU. The financial burden is significant, especially while they are far from home. So far, Lily’s family has already paid 16,000 PHP (about $280 USD) on the first day alone, and the room costs 7,000 PHP ($120 USD) per night, not including treatments or other medical expenses. They estimate they will need at least $5,000 to cover her care and extended stay in the Philippines.
Lily is a fighter, but her family cannot face this challenge alone. Please consider donating to help cover her medical bills and support her parents as they focus on Lily’s recovery. Any amount helps, and if you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign and keeping Lily in your prayers would mean the world to them.
Thank you for standing with Lily and her family during this challenging time.
Sincerely,
Lily's Aunties: Maricar Carpio-Cuenco, Marione Santos & Marie Espenilla
