In life, we're blessed to know extraordinary individuals, and if you’ve crossed paths with Lina, you've undoubtedly experienced the compact force that she is- small but mighty, quick-witted and sharp. Lina’s playful banter keeps everyone on their toes! Today, we come together not just as a community but as a family, to support Lina’s cancer battle.

Lina is the beating heart of her family— a loving mother to Kaylee (9), Dalia (8), and Breyden (4), a dedicated wife to John, a caring daughter, a supportive sister, a force to be reckoned with as a sales rep, and an incredible friend.

This journey began late last year when Lina (40) went for her first mammogram, only to receive the heart-wrenching diagnosis of Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer, Stage IIB (cT2 N2). As February approaches, she is facing the formidable challenge of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation, guided by an exceptional care team at UC San Diego Health. The road ahead is tough, both physically and emotionally, and the financial toll is substantial—piecing together support not just for Lina but also ensuring the care and well-being of her children during treatment.

We believe in her strength, and we want to alleviate the financial stress that accompanies medical expenses while she is on disability for the next 9 months receiving debilitating treatment. Her Oncologist described her unique

chemo regimen as particularly grueling, setting the expectation that she will be bed-ridden for most of it. Your contribution to this fundraiser will go directly towards Lina’s care while John continues to work and care for their 3 young children.
