Help Linda after COVID19 took her husband of 42yrs

In August 2019, my grandmother Linda Fleury  and my grandfather Tommy Fleury  were involved in a tragic car accident that left them with significant injuries. My Grandmother was in a coma for over a month, and she is still recovering. My grandfather had multiple injuries to include a broken sternum. They were making good progress when my grandfather tested positive for Coronavirus.  He was admitted to Rhode Island Hospital on Monday, May 11th, 2020, and after fighting for 6 long and heartbreaking days alone Coronavirus took his life at 66 years old.  While caring for him my grandmother also contracted the virus and has had to grieve her husband’s loss alone in self-quarantine.

My grandfather was one of the hardest working men I have known.   He worked for over 40 years to provide for his family. He was my grandmother’s best friend and husband for 42 years. My grandmother is the sweetest woman and always willing to help anyone. She is the woman that taught me to walk, talk, read, and color. She would take me to Roger Williams Park to feed the ducks and ride the carousel when I was younger. She drove to SC, which is over 13 hours away to help care for me after my surgery in May of 2019. She’s the type of person that will go above and beyond to take care of her family and others.  

During this incredibly difficult time, I would like for my grandmother to not have to worry about the financial struggles that lay ahead.  She is 71 years old and this is the last thing she should have to worry about while grieving her husband.  Though it is inevitable that bills will still come in, together we can try to help her with that burden.
