Help Linda During Her Darkest Moments

Hello, I'm reaching out to ask for support for our neighbor and friend, Linda.
In the short time I have known her, Linda has faced an unimaginable series of heartbreaks that no one should have to endure alone.

Linda’s mom was diagnosed with cancer. She moved into her mother’s home and was her full-time caregiver through her illness, and, sadly, she passed away.
Soon after this heartbreaking loss, Linda’s only son passed away unexpectedly in March, 2024.

Devastating! To lose a child.

Linda, alone, using credit, took on the expenses of his funeral, etc., she has a fixed/limited income and she is still paying the credit off. This has put a significant financial strain on her limited income.

Then, to compound her grief, Linda’s beloved dog, Bobby, who had been her faithful companion for 15 years, passed away over the summer.

Bobby was her everything, giving her unconditional love and comfort through all her recent losses. His death left an unfillable void, and Linda struggled deeply. It was so sad and really bad.

I encouraged her to adopt a puppy, hoping it would bring her some light in these dark times.
She found Gracie, who has been a true lifeline, but now Linda faces another tragedy that no one could have anticipated!!!

Just days ago, Linda received a devastating call: her only daughter, Renee, 37, had suffered a pulmonary embolism that led to a cardiac arrest.
Renee was placed on life support, and passed away on November 7th. Her kidneys were recovered for gift of life❤️

Both of Linda's children have passed away this year. No parents should have to experience such loss!!!!

Linda is so understandably distraught, heartbroken, and in agony, she is just overwhelmed with grief after losing her last child and last immediate family member.

Despite her pain, was right by her daughter’s side in the ICU, urging her to keep fighting.

The hospital is an hour and a half away from her home, but she had to be there. She wasn't leaving.

Linda also helped to care for her daughter’s two children (her grandchildren) Luka (he is 4) and Selene (she is 5)..

Living on a fixed income, Linda is truly struggling to keep up with expenses of 2 funerals and living expense while away from home. She had to stay in a hotel near the hospital to be close to her daughter, adding to her financial burden.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to help cover Linda's hotel expenses, travel costs, easing the ongoing burden of her son’s and daughter's funeral expenses.

Any contribution, big or small, and any kind words, will help ease her burdens and let her know she’s not alone.
Thank you so much for reading Linda’s story and for any support you can offer. Please please please share this with others who might be able to help as well.
share on your neighborhood sites, social media pages, and any other places you think we can get the word out. There are caring and generous people in this world and hopefully this can be seen by some.
