Help Linda P. Heal After Hit-and-Run
Donation protected
I am Pam Wadsworth, pastor at Church of the Pines in Fort Smith. This fundraiser is set up for a precious lady who goes to our church. On Saturday, 9/7/24, Linda P. was walking her little dog around 6 a.m. on South 21st Street. While wearing a reflective vest, she was run over by a hit-and-run driver. She is in serious condition with multiple fractures; her liver is bruised; and she has large open wounds that may need skin grafts. She was promptly airlifted that morning to ICU at UAMS and safely underwent surgery to set her broken arm and tend to her wounds. She has made improvement since Saturday and is expected to recover, but is looking at a likely long hospital stay and certainly a very extended rehab time followed by personal assistance after that. Linda, a 69 year old woman, will be faced with medical bills, care during and after rehab, and apartment upkeep while she is recovering. We are hoping to help with some of those expenses.
Her little dog, not injured, was safely confiscated by first responders and is now with a close friend of Linda's. That little Sally Mae holds Linda's heart, and though the separation will be hard, at least she has been assured that her fur baby is safe and in good hands.
We would appreciate any donations to help Linda! She is one of the sweetest ladies we know!
Shirley Farmer-Russell, who was selected by Linda to manage her affairs during recovery, set up the local bank account where these donations will be deposited. She is receiving the funds on behalf of Linda at this time.
