Help Lindsey Woods 3rd Brain Surgery

Hi, my name is Dawn Bearden and I am Fundraising for my beautiful sister, Lindsey Woods. Recently, Lindsey was informed of having her 3rd brain tumor. Yes, I said 3rd.

Lindsey was first diagnosed in 2016 with Cushing’s Disease and had a removal of a pituitary tumor. She went to the best neurosurgeon in St Louis that specializes in this type of surgery. After being in remission for several years, Lindsey started to show signs, symptoms & complications of Cushing’s Disease again in 2021. MRI showed yet another tumor has grown. Lindsey, her wife Kristen and two children, Bella and Oliver prepared and planned for the 2nd surgery/2nd brain tumor. All went well after the surgery and Lindsey began to recover.

Then, symptoms started to return in November 2021. February 2022, she was diagnosed with having her 3rd brain tumor.

This is heartbreaking to Lindsey and her family to be in a medical situation as this after such a short turn around of having the same surgery just 8 months ago. Financially, it’s very difficult to plan or prepare for needing 3 neurosurgeries in a life time.

Lindsey and her wife are both nurses and have worked hard through this pandemic serving their communities in need. Due to Lindsey’s recent health changes, she can no longer work full time but continues to work within the post acute care setting as much as she can physically.

If you know Lindsey, you know that she is the kindest person that you could ever meet. Patients & Family members love to see her smiling face walk in to care for them. She has the Soul of a Caregiver. Today, it’s time to care for my sister. She and her family need our help to assist financially. As a strong, independent person as my sister, it’s hard to ask for help. So, I’m asking. Please help however you can and we all would greatly appreciate it.
