Help Lino Afford a Wheelchair Stroller
Our parents have always tried to give us as much as they could in life. But raising all of four of us kids was not easy. Our brother Marcelino (Lino) was in an accident when he was very young and hit his head which caused traumatic brain injury. This caused him to wheelchair bound with limited mobility in only his left arm. However, this did not put a damper on his outgoing personality. Lino Loves to make friends, sing songs, and watch his nieces and nephews play. Everyone that gets the chance to meet him has told us how happy and funny he is.
We are reaching out now to help our parents get Lino a wheelchair Stroller so he can come on our family vacation. Since our family has grown so much this will be the first big family get away and would love for him to come to the beach. We are going to Florida the first week of August. This will be Lino's first time on a plane and at the ocean. The stroller would allow us to take him on more adventures with the family. Anything you could do; sharing, donating, or just spreading the word would help. Thank you.
Words from mom❤️
I just want to let you know how special my son is to me. At the age of 2 he fell from a three-story balcony, this day was one of the worst days of my life. I remember being told by several doctors that my son had very little brain activity and would most likely not survive but these doctors did not know my son and the love that surrounded him. The hospital he was in had no rooms for parents to stay and I was told several times to go home but was not going to leave his side. After about four days of me sleeping in chairs they brought me up a cot. I talk to my son daily when he was in his coma, then one day I had asked where is mommy little man, {it was our game} he lifted up his arm and pointed to his chest. At that moment I knew my son was fighting to come back to me. He is stronger than anyone I know, 9 surgeries, in and out of the hospital for several years and the loss of his father. I love him and only want to best for him, I want him to fly in a plane looking out a window to see the world that is around him, see the ocean, feel the sand, hear the waves and just enjoy life. Anything to help Marcelino have a vacation that he deserves would be helpful. The chair will help him do this and more.
