Help Lisa Bounce Back from Brain Surgery
Donation protected
Greetings to friends and loved ones of Lisa near and far. She has been diagnosed with a meningioma, which is a benign brain tumor that requires surgery. She’s in the care of amazing doctors and surgeons here in the Bay Area, and will have a craniotomy to remove the mass — which is behind her left ear and is effecting her hearing, balance, and facial mobility — on April 13, 2023. We are reaching out in the hopes that those who can will donate to help her in this challenging time.
Her prognosis is very good, and all signs point to her full and complete recovery (with some possible remaining hearing loss and nerve damage). The most hopeful outcome is that she would be able to return to work in about 6 weeks time, post-surgery. In the meantime, she will be on disability and will need ample time to rest and heal. This will require physical therapy, along with alternative modalities like acupuncture, massage, and other forms of self-care to weather this unexpected storm.
Lisa’s family and dedicated group of friends will cover her immediate needs including round-the-clock care right after surgery, plus meals and keeping her company. We are asking those of you who are in her larger circle to consider a donation. These funds would be used to pay for medical costs, therapies that aren’t covered by insurance, and the general upkeep of her life until she is ready to return to full-time work.
Thank you so much and we’re sending you big love from the West Coast.
