Help Lisa escape domestic violence

My dear friend, Lisa, is on social security disability and lives on a shoestring budget. This week, a man she briefly dated—who was previously convicted of assault with a deadly weapon—found out she was transgender and outed her to her neighbors and threatened to kill her.
In just 48 hours, we’ve gotten Lisa out of that apartment and have identified a new apartment in another city, where she’s got a big trans community and lots of friends.
Lisa is a luminous, kind, loving, funny, generous, Black trans woman who has spent the last ten years working tirelessly for her LGBTQ community. Now, to stay safe and settle into her new life, she needs our help.
In order to move into her new apartment, Lisa needs $1400 by next Friday, April 13th. This modest amount will allow her to get important identity documents from her previous apartment, buy basic necessities like food and toiletries, and pay move-in costs for her new apartment. Please give as you’re able.
