Help Lisa fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Donation protected
Aloha mai, We are the loved ones, friends and family of Lisa and Frank Onorato. Lisa may be a friend from work at the Four Season or the Grand Wailea. Maybe you know her from Hawaii Island where she was a teacher in Puna or from Goodwill where she assisted in the care of those who couldn’t care for themselves. You may have met her as she advocated for Mothers Against Drunk Driving or the work she did with Kahi Mohala and Helping Hands, supporting Hawai’i ‘ohana. Maybe you knew her from the time she spent with Special Olympics, helping with their summer games. You might call her mom, because she’s the All-Mother to her community or Aunty because you grew up at her house. You may know her from Nevada, Washington, Palm Springs or Costco because she can’t help but find friendships everywhere she goes. Even if you know her for only 2 minutes in line at the grocery store, she is your best friend for those 2 minutes. She is loving, compassionate, strong, comforting, funny and I hate that I’m here writing this right now. She was diagnosed recently with Colon Cancer which has metastasized to her liver and lymph nodes, making it stage 4. She requires surgery but cannot receive it until she completes chemotherapy. Chemo is scheduled every other week for at least 6 months at this point. She thinks she’s going to work from home during this time. Knowing her, she may very well do that, but our hope is that she doesn’t have to. Our hope is that she can just let the healing happen. She’s currently working full-time, while also caring for her husband who has Parkinson’s Dementia. This is a deteriorating disease that will cause him to slowly lose the ability to execute daily tasks and bodily functions due to loss of muscle control. This is a request to those who know Lisa, who have loved and received love from her, to help alleviate some of the burden that will undoubtedly arise on her healing journey. I know that she has been blessed with meaningful friendships throughout her life so if you can be of service to a woman who has lived a life of service to her community, it would provide immense relief to receive such a blessing. It could allow them some peace of mind from financial burdens that arise and keep their focus on healing. We’re asking that you share this within your circles and know that any contribution is deeply appreciated.I ola ‘oe, i ola mākou nei The children of Lisa, Frank and the Moyer ‘Ohana
