Hi, I'm Kylie, and I'm reaching out to you all today to rally behind my mom, Lisa, as she faces an immense challenge in her life. On 4/14/23, our world was shaken when we learned that my mom has been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. It's been an emotional rollercoaster, but we are determined to face this head-on and give my mom the support she needs to focus on her treatment and healing.

Even before her treatment has begun, the burden of medical bills has already exceeded $4,000. Adding to the stress, her doctor has grounded her from work for a minimum of 3 months, leaving her worried about how to meet her financial obligations. Rent, car payments, phone bills, and other living expenses continue to pile up, alongside the mounting medical bills. It's overwhelming to think about these responsibilities when all we want is for Lisa to focus on her well-being.

Starting Monday, 6/19/23, Lisa will begin an intense treatment regimen, involving chemotherapy and radiation 5 days a week. It's a daunting journey, and we want to ensure she can face it with as much comfort and peace of mind as possible.

I wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude to each and every one of you who donated to and shared Lisa's GoFundMe campaign. Your incredible support and generosity have been overwhelming, and together, we have achieved something remarkable. In just a matter of days, we surpassed our initial goal!

The relief we feel from knowing that our friends and family are standing by us during this challenging time is immeasurable. Your contributions will make a significant difference in covering Lisa's mounting medical bills, which are expected to quickly exceed $20,000 (yes, her out of pocket amount). As for Lisa's current situation, the chemotherapy treatment has taken a toll on her. Within 24 hours of starting the chemo, she began experiencing sickness and nausea. She now carries a chemo machine attached to her pick line in a fanny pack, which she will have until the end of the week. Following the removal of the chemo, the pick line will remain in her arm, and Lisa will continue with radiation treatments five days a week. In the last week, she will undergo another round of chemotherapy. Despite the difficult side effects, Lisa's spirits remain high, and she maintains a positive outlook as she receives this opportunity for healing.
