Help Lisa Leger Get a Life-Saving Generator
Donation protected
I am fundraising for Ms. Lisa Leger. She is a very nice lady that lives in the Arnaudville area. She is in emergency need of funds for a generator. She has been disabled for decades after a severe accident that left her in a coma for six months. She maintains a quiet life in a modest home with her small rescue puppy. She has several health issues. She has a serious breathing issue that requires regular hourly use of a ventilator. Without electricity, she would be in emergency rooms or worse. With electrical grids struggling due to the extreme use that our heat wave causes and the constant concern of severe storms and hurricanes, she lives in constant fear of electrical outages. She contacted me for advice. I guided her to several religious, state, and non-profit organizations. Unfortunately, none of them have funds to help her with this emergency need. As a former state assistance program worker and investigator, I have met with her and determined her need is valid and well documented. I asked an electrician who installs generators to give me an estimate for the generator and tanks needed to run it. He estimated the cost to be about $12,000. Including fuel fees, I am setting a goal of $15,000. All funds will be paid first to the contractor upon completion of the job, and the remaining funds will go to Ms. Leger for the maintenance. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
