Help Lisa Odom Crush Stage 4 Breast Cancer

My name is John Holcombe. My wife, Michelle and I have known Dan and Lisa Odom since we moved to the Hidden Brook neighborhood on Signal Mountain 20 years ago. They were the first friends that we made in the neighborhood, and they have been there for us more times than we can count. Anytime I know someone in need of specialty medical care, Dan is the person I call. He has worked tirelessly, without compensation, to help complete strangers get the very best healthcare services. Lisa works at Nolen Elementary School and was there for our children when we couldn’t be. I cannot imagine that there are many families on Signal Mountain that have not experienced her kind and giving nature. She is the beautiful lady in the office with a big smile.

Recently, on Lisa’s 52rd birthday, she received some horrible news. After a routine mammogram, she was diagnosed with metastatic, stage 4 breast cancer. Dan sprang into action to line up the best doctors in the area as he has done so many times for others. They are taking plant based cooking classes and researching other ways to beat down this terrible disease.

My goal is to help Dan and Lisa with the financial impacts they will be dealing with from cancer. In addition to part-time work at Erlanger, Dan also works in Alaska every other month with a specialty medevac unit. Lisa had just begun her treatments and Dan is adamant that he be by her side through this. I would love to be able to help Dan with the financial ability to stay by Lisa’s side. Additionally, give Lisa the ability to use alternative treatments which are not covered by insurance. Some of these alternative treatments include using a functional medicine physician to work in conjunction with traditional treatments. New medicines, to include immunotherapy, are promising but extremely expensive and of course the insurance company will try not to pay.
