Help Lisa Restore Power and Recover Lost Funds

Hello All!

Most of you know me, and for those that don't, my name is Lisa.

I'm coming to you guys in the midst of a seriously difficult time for me and my significant other. Our situation currently consists of us living in a home with no electricity, heat, or hot water. We have no clear idea of when power will be restored. Not only are we without the basic requirements of a home, we have also found ourselves in a situation where it is basically as if money that we have invested has been flushed down the toilet.

Both my partner and I are helpless in the midst of this situation. We both have invested almost all of our available funds into this, having barely enough to keep us fed at times. It has gotten to the point where I have gone without paying my cellular phone bill for months with no way to contact anyone without WiFi. When the electricity was cut off on the property, I was stuck with no way of contacting anyone to tell them that I needed assistance or what had happened for over 12 hours.

It is scary to feel so stranded and hopeless. My partner and I are not the type to seek help from anyone, but we know when it's time to tuck our tails and ask for help.

I know it's a big ask because everyone is dealing with so many things right now and my situation isn't unique. We both understand and accept that there are things that we could have, should have, would have done, but we didn't and here we are.

Anything and everything helps. The funds will be used for purchasing things like extra blankets, food for my dog Cookie, non-perishable food items, a miniature generator so we can plug in items like our fridge, stove, and devices, and any other general necessities. We are actively taking strides to get things for ourselves, doing things like going to local food banks, and seeking government assistance.

We have simply reached a wall, where we understand that sometimes you have to put your pride aside and ask for help.

Like I said, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is appreciated. Whether you can send money, or simple words of encouragement, we will take everything to heart and appreciate it.
