Dear Loyal Lisa’s Tea Treasures Customers and Friends,
There has been no greater pleasure than having served our customers in Los Altos and surrounding areas for the past 7 years and even many more years in Menlo Park. Throughout the years our elegant Victorian tea room has served as the perfect venue for countless tea parties, traditional family gatherings, or as a sanctuary for customers seeking a break from their busy daily lives.
Since the beginning of February 2020, things have drastically changed for our tea room due to Covid-19. We saw an immediate deep decline in customer visits and all party reservations were understandably cancelled. However, we kept working tirelessly even during the lockdown on the occasional take-out order and tried to support our community by providing medical professionals lunch kits through Frontline Foods. In later months, outdoor service was permitted and we worked hard to set up an outdoor area that could provide our customers with the elegant tea room ambiance that they had been missing.
Today, seven months down this not-so-easy road, we feel we have been doing everything possible to continue serving high quality afternoon tea to the Los Altos community and surrounding areas while keeping our much-needed staff on payroll.
However, as there is no end in sight for the global pandemic, it has become more and more difficult for us to meet the expenses required to adequately operate the business. Even with the help of government funding programs, Lisa’s Tea Treasures Los Altos continues to struggle. At this time, we humbly ask you, your family, your friends and our loyal customer base to help us remain in operation by supporting our business. Any funds raised, will be used only to pay operating expenses such as payroll, rent, utilities, ingredients, and accessories. We hope to remain a part of the close-knit Los Altos community and are asking for your support in order to do so. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and wish you and your family good health during this universally difficult time.
