Help little Aj’s fight !!!!!!!

Here’s little AJ’s story
For those that don't know yet our little family's life changed in a big way on Wednesday. Little AJ has been sick with influenza A and was basically not functioning much at all. We went for an emergency visit on Monday and we were sent home after he finally ate and drank.

Wednesday we had a follow up appointment at the emergency department. Our beautiful Dr did a quick assessment and found AJ has decreased air entry into one of his lungs. He requested an X-ray to be done and unfortunately we found more than we were expecting.

We were referred to the Queensland children's hospital for further investigations. Yesterday AJ went under anesthesia for an MRI scan and we found a 114.8mm mass in his chest. The Drs were shocked by the sheer size of it. His lung on the same side as the mass is only at 30% capacity.

We start further investigations on Monday morning to see exactly what we are dealing with. The little man will be getting a biopsy done Monday morning, bone marrow samples and a heart ultrasound. Then we will be getting CT and PET scans at the end of the week. Once all these tests are done we will start our chemo treatment to reduce the size of the mass so we can have surgery.

This is all a mass shock to our family and we are trying to keep positive. We are on a journey down a long road at the moment. We appreciate people reaching out and offering help where they can
AJ is being investigated for cancer.
The Dr thinks it's Blastoma we just don't know if it's aggressive or non aggressive yet.
He goes in for bone marrow samples and biopsy tomorrow
AJ will most definitely start chemo next week some time as the mass is way too big to safely surgically remove.
He will have between 6 to 8 rounds of chemo every 3 weeks to reduce the mass size.
So treatment could possibly be finished before his 4th birthday in February.
I'll be off work for a little while until we can get AJ sorted with his treatments

please if you can help in any way to make things a little brighter for the family at this terrible time we would really appreciate it!!!l!!!!
