Help Little Alex Fight Medulloblastoma

Alex is our precious, 2 and a half years old boy. He is smart and full of joy and has a long journey and fight ahead of him. On the 22nd of January, Alex visited a neurologist who after some conversations with us, recommended we send Alex for a brain scan which had shown and diagnosed a tumor in his brain and a large amount of cerebrospinal fluid blocked by the tumor that caused hydrocephalus. On the same day, Alex had surgery to drain the fluid from his brain. The following week on January 28th little Alex went through 10 hours of surgery to have the tumor removed which evidently damaged his right-sided paresis and led to a loss of speech after removing 90% of the tumor. Alex still has 8-10% of the tumor remaining in the brainstem which is an extremely difficult place to perform the removal procedure. The results concluded that Alex had been diagnosed with Medulloblastoma Stage 4. Alex is now waiting for 5 cycles of intensive induction of Chemotherapy as well as rehabilitation and therefore in this case it is extremely important for Alex to regain his physical movement as well as learning how to regain his speech. little boy needs any help which his parents would struggle to finance and remove the weight from their back.
