Help Little Bao Get the Heart Surgery She Needs

Little Bao is an 18-month-old girl from Lincang Prefecture, Cang Yuan County.  Her parents are farmers earning a mere 5000 yuan per year. Bao was born with an atrial ventricular canal defect where the entire center of her heart is missing. This means that her blood cannot circulate properly throughout her body when her heart pumps. Her parents noted that she is developing slowly and only weights 6 kg. Her lips and hands were often blue and once while feeding she passed out.

After China Cal doctors examined her in July they realized that without surgery, she probably will not live more than a year. The surgery to cure this disease is available at Chengdu West China Hospital but it costs about 70,000 yuan.  To date, her parents have been able to raise 4,000 yuan; they are asking for help to save their baby’s life.  We are asking for a donation of 66000 yuan to be paid to West China Hospital on receipt of the hospital Fapiao for Little Bao's surgical services.
