Help little Haitian boy's vision

Please help us with our little friend, Garlin Gay!
This is Garlin. He is a 6 year old boy who we had the honor of working with exactly one year ago, while on a medical disaster relief trip to Haiti, in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. Garlin and his mother live in Les Cayes, Haiti, which was one of the hardest struck areas of the hurricane's devastating path. His family lost everything they had, including their home.
We traveled as a group with the organization, International Medical Relief, setting up mobile clinics in new locations of the Les Cayes region every day. Although in that short period, we saw and treated over 1000 patients, it was little Gay who melted our hearts. He was starving, infested with intestinal worms, and had a bilateral eye infection on top of an underlying congenital eye deformity, referred to as bilateral colobomas. In the US, this is a treatable condition, often with a minor surgery, yielding good results if done early. Garlin is already 5 years old. Because of his condition, he is completely blind in one eye, and left untreated, will likely be blind in the other in the near future.
We have found a team that would be happy to help out our little friend and help treat his condition. He will need to have two surgeries, performed in stages to improve his vision and protect him from progression of disease. The first surgery would consist of repairing the eyelids, thus protecting the cornea, and preparing him for a prosthesis in his left eye. This could be done in Haiti. His second surgery would involve placing the prosthesis, here in the US.
We are seeking funds to help pay for Garlin's initial treatment and eye surgery. All funds would be used to pay for his team to travel to Port Au Prince and provide the surgical care and hospitalization that is much needed for this little boy.
