Help Little Lou Beat Cancer Again
Donation protected
This past spring, Alexa Wilding and her husband, Ian Sullivan were heartbroken to discover that after four years cancer-free, their 6 year-old son Lou — identical brother to West — was diagnosed once again with an extremely rare form of pediatric brain cancer. Having recently relocated to Hudson, NY to start a new chapter of their lives, they’ve now been forced to split their family in two in order for Alexa to manage Lou’s treatment (high-dose chemotherapy, stem cell rescue + radiation) at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU-Langone (Ian and West stay in Hudson for Ian's work during the week but travel to the city on weekends to relieve Alexa at the hospital). The good news is that Lou’s cancer was caught early. The tumor in his brain was fully extracted in April — the goal now is to eradicate the cancerous lesions on his spine. But it takes a village! Lou is halfway through chemo and the family can’t go on without our help. We’re hoping to raise $50,000 to cover medical expenses + co-pays, at-home medical support with administering IV medications and shots, around-the-clock childcare in two locations indefinitely, funds to cover the loss of Alexa’s income as a freelance writer, and additional support services for Lou and the entire family. Thank you for your love!
