It’s with a heavy heart that we reach out to you all today about Olivia Balistreri. Just shy of her 2nd birthday, this sweet, spunky girl—always smiling and ready for an adventure—has been diagnosed with leukemia. The shock of this news is indescribable; the Balistreri family, along with her family and friends, are grappling with the weight of this unfortunate and unexpected news.

To know Olivia is to love her. Olivia has a personality that lights up every room. Her laughter is infectious, and her boundless energy brings joy to everyone she meets. Whether she’s running around with her big sister Sophia, giving high-fives to friends, caring for her dogs Max and Dez, Olivia's love for life is absolutely contagious.

As her parents, Peter and Lindsay, navigate this new and challenging world of ongoing treatment, hospital visits, and medical bills, we want to be there for them in every way possible. Our goal is to ease their burden and allow them to focus on what truly matters: Olivia’s health and happiness.

For those of you who know Lindsay, you know how deeply she cares for her students and how hard she works every single day. But when she is at home, she devotes every single second to both of her girls. Whether it’s walks through the neighborhood, impromptu park dates, drawing with chalk in the driveway, or playing with the girls in the backyard, Lindsay somehow seems to be able to do it all.

Peter is a truly devoted dad and will do anything to see these girls happy-and we truly mean anything! When Peter gets home, Olivia is waiting with the biggest smile on her face! If he knows it’ll make the girls smile— he’s all for it.. movie nights in the front yard, setting up the backyard for a day of fun with their friends, and reading them stories and putting them to bed every night.

Now it’s our turn to rally around them and show our support. Let’s remind the Balistreri family that they’re not alone in this fight.
