Pretzels story
Pretzel was abandoned at 5 weeks old due to a deformity to her hind legs. I work as a veterinary nurse where she was brought into the vets and requested to be put to sleep.
As soon as I met her I knew this kitten deserves a chance. With no one to look after her, I have decided to take her in and give her the best possible chance at life. I have sought out opinions from orthopaedic specialists who have advised surgery to correct her hind limbs.
Despite her neglect, all she wants to do is love and play. She captures the hearts of everyone she meets and I hope she has a place in your heart too. Pretzel is so determined, intelligent and super happy. She’s wobbly when she walks, but this doesn’t stop her!
As Pretzel grows and gets heavier this will cause a welfare issue. Orthopaedic specialists have advised surgery can correct the limbs at a young age - which is commonly performed in humans. Her hind limbs are rotated caudally as a result of a congenital deformity which leads her to walk on her hocks. Surgery can be achieved by external skeletal fixation.
I hope with enough donations little Pretzel can have the surgery she needs instead of euthanasia, live a normal happy life and be running around before we know it.
Any amount is appreciated. If you prefer that 100% or your donation goes to Pretzel rather than GoFundMe you can donate directly to:
