Help Little Shelter get a new rescue van!
Tax deductible
In 2021, Little Shelter plans to do even more to help animals in need. In order to accomplish this, we are looking to raise money to upgrade to a new or slightly used van.
Rescue, trips to the vet, airport runs, picking up dog food or cat litter, these are just a few of the things Little Shelter would NOT be able to do without our rescue van. We have had our current van for almost 20 years and it's been used to save thousands of animals. However, it has not aged gracefully and is unfortunately having issues that are basically beyond repair. The rescue van has become very rusted and often times leaks inside when it rains. Because of this, we are seeking to upgrade to something more reliable and safer for the animals!
This hurricane season, our hands were tied since we didn't have the reliable transportation to do as many rescues as we typically do. Changing out our old van for a newer more reliable vehicle will get us back into the game,
Little Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter located in the heart of Long Island. We just celebrated our 94th birthday, saving lives since 1927. Age, physical condition, and socialization issues are never criteria for rescuing a dog or cat whose life is in jeopardy. Through rescue from kill facilities, rehabilitation of sick and unsocialized pets, and a 100% spay/neuter program, Little Shelter hopes to end overpopulation and place all dogs and cats in loving homes.
Little Shelter isn't just an animal rescue like most, we also operate and fund the Town of Huntington Cat Shelter, one of the only no-kill shelters of its kind. We're also a sanctuary, and provide a refuge for our overlooked animals. So you see, we are so much more than a typical animal shelter.
Please consider making a donation of any size to help get us back on the road by the end of 2021 so we can start the new year off saving more and more animal who need us.
