Help Little Uno Fight to Live

Donation protected
On July 26th, we took two little kittens from a local Facebook group where someone was giving them away for free, to strangers... These kittens were only about 5 weeks old at the time. One of our fosters stepped up to take them in and thankfully we were able to intervene before these kittens wound up in the wrong hands or with an inexperienced person.

Uno was always smaller than his sister, but we had some initial concerns about his health. Nothing was noted at their first vet visit, other than that they were both a bit underweight. We thought a good diet and a round of dewormer would help fatten then up.

About one week ago, our foster noticed that Uno was losing weight, his sister Scrabble was also losing weight, and they both had diarrhea. We got them into our regular vet where we were able to drop off a stool sample, had them dewormed again, they were given a b12 injection as well as fluids. The stool sample came back negative for all worms and parasites.

After a few days, Scrabble seemed to be on the mend, but Uno was really struggling and seemed to be declining. He was lethargic, had lost his appetite, and was having completely involuntary diarrhea. We made the decision to have him go to the emergency vet, where he has now been for 24 hours.

As you may know, emergency vet's are expensive, just to walk in the door. Uno has received around the clock care, and despite still having diarrhea, has tested negative for parvo (3 times), negative for worms/parasites, and has regained energy, alertness, and appetite. He is finally ready to head back to foster to hopefully continue to improve. However, we are left with a debilitating vet bill of $3,000+.

We are completely donation-based and this ER visit has completely drained out bank account of funds. If you can find it in your heart to donate, or atleast share this post, it will help us on recovery and be able to open our intake and help more cats.
