☔️Help Lower Notch Farm Recover from Flooding

Donation protected

I’m fundraising for our sweet friends Liv and Matt, to help them recover from the recent flooding in Vermont.
The storms flooded their 5acre blueberry farm and they’re having to rebuild, replant, and excavate their property. Seasonal farming means you invest heavily throughout the year and break even during high season. The loss of business and 300ft of flower beds has significantly impacted their business. They also face thousands of dollars in excavation work to reconstruct farm driveways, water diversion systems, and rebuilding supplies. Help them recover and finish their season strong, community is everything!

Update: 7/17 Matt and Liv and The Lower Notch Farm is back at square one. The storms came in again last night and undid all their hard work excavating and getting the farm back in working shape. The farm is closed for picking which means they’re at a huge loss for business. Morale is low. Let’s get them back on their feet!

Update 7/18: Liv and Matt have been constantly on the phone trying to receive government assistance. Right now they’re deeming the floods an act of god and they’re saying they don’t qualify for FEMA assistance.
28k will be used to create a water diversion excavation system, the remaining 6k will be used to replant and repair their flower beds, the other 2k will be to repay their excavation work from the first wave of flooding.
