Help Liz and Ella after apartment fire
Donation protected
My name is Ella, I am a Catahoula Leopard dog, and I am a rescue. Mama Bear (Liz) is a wonderful and caring person.
She saved me from the trailer bathroom where I was living with my brothers and sisters. She takes great care of me and I think we saved each other!
My reason for this page (and no - it’s not just to raise money for extra biscuits for me and my friends)
This year has been hard for my mom - in addition to a few financial challenges - we just survived an apartment fire - yes, it was scary, we will be ok, but we could use some help. My medical bills have been high - and I love my mom, but she is struggling.
In addition to being a wonderful mom to me - she is involved in the Norwalk Veterans community, and the lead for Norwalk Toys for Tots, an organization that helps families in need make the holidays a wonderful time for all children. And this is a 100% volunteer effort - which you can imagine takes alot of time and commitment.
Soooo, this apartment fire. Yes, we survived, yes, I am still at and will spend more time at the hospital with my vet friends, but we lost everything. And yes, more than just the reserve of my dog biscuits.
Since my mom is always so focused on helping everyone else - I decided to ask all of you - her friends for help. (She won’t, she’s too proud…) It seems our apartment has now been declared unsafe and all of our belongings were destroyed in the fire. Even my favorite lovies (but mom lost her clothes, furniture - yes, my couch) and everything else. It looks like it will be months before we can go home.
In the meantime - Mama Bear and I need help. We could use your support to help us get back on our feet and to help with my medical bills.
They think it will take around $15,000 to start over and cover some of my bills - the nice people at the vets say I may have health challenges for some time to come.
If you can help us - we would appreciate it furever… if you are unable to donate financially, please keep mommy and me in your thoughts and prayers, and consider sharing. We love you all - and thank you for being part of our lives!
