Help Liz Gleeson on her Lymphoma journey….

Hi, my name is Amy Gleeson. I am starting this fundraiser to help my mum Liz Gleeson. Many of you will know and love her, she is a pillar of the community and has always gone above and beyond for many of her friends and clients. If you know her you may know that over the last 6 years she has had a very tough time with illness. Despite this she set up her business Liz Gleeson Hairdressing. This was her lifelong dream. She ploughed everything she had into this & worked soooo hard! Many hardships came her way but as usual she stayed strong and fought, even throughout the pandemic she kept going! Then in November 2021 she was diagnosed with a very rare form of Lymphoma, splenic Lymphoma. There is no cure, with an estimated life expectancy of approximately 10 years. She sadly lost her business in December as it was too financially difficult to continue, this was absolutely heartbreaking for her. She is an incredibly proud woman & will curse me for this but she is trying to survive on very little at the moment with no savings as it was all put in to the business. She is concerned that she won’t have time to recover from her treatment with the stress of finances hanging over her. I would really love it if anyone could donate anything they can spare to help ease the financial burden and give her the time & space to start feeling better & hopefully try to enjoy herself for the remainder of this illness & the rest of her life.
