Help Liz kick cancer to the curb!

As most of you know our dear friend Liz was recently diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in July. This diagnosis was a complete shock for Liz, her family and everyone who knows our dear friend.  The good news is that Liz is in great hands and she is being treated by a wonderful team of doctors at Swedish Cancer Institute.  Liz has a treatment plan that is thorough, and she just completed her third round of chemo this last week. As you can imagine, this journey won’t be an easy one. Liz is staying positive and facing this period in life with the glass half full attitude she always has and humor (when possible). There have been a few bumps in the road so far, but she’s chugging along and overall doing well. Liz will continue chemo through November, have surgery in December and then ongoing chemo and radiation through July 2021. 

Because of COVID-19 Liz is unable to work during this time and is consumed with caring for her four-year-old son, managing her Dr. appointments, and treatment plan. All the while keeping a positive attitude for beating this diagnosis! The COVID-19 pandemic also makes it challenging for friends and family to help Liz and her family with things that would normally seem simple and easy.

This is a time when communities need to rally together. Any financial help would relieve Liz of the worry about mounting medical bills, so that she may focus on the positive aspect of kicking cancers ass! The medical bills have started to pour in and while she has great insurance, she will be maxing out her insurance at some point and this long battle could take up to two years. Please consider donating in any amount. Your financial gift would truly be a blessing and help Liz and her family during this extremely difficult time. Please know that all funds will go directly to Liz as the beneficiary. These will be used to support the medical bills and any other bills while Liz is out of work fighting cancer.
