Help Liz's Papa get out of Detention
Donation protected
My Papa, a coach and a member of our community.
He raised me and my two siblings who are ages 17 and 13 in the Sunnyslope, AZ community. He has no other family besides us. My Papa has been a compass in our lives and has taught us to have faith even in the hardest of times, the value of being kind, caring for others, having a strong work ethic and giving 100% of ourselves in everything we do.
On Sunday, November 23th, he was detained by Phoenix PD and then turned over to I.C.E within hours. Around 9:00 PM that evening he had been transferred to a detention center. Today, November 27th at 2:30 AM he called to inform me that he will be transferred to a different detention center.
Given the nature of the situation we will need to raise ($$$) money to cover the legal fees for his attorney and ($$$) money for his release when bond is given after his appearance before an immigration judge.
His entire life my Papa has given back to his community. From collecting and donating food and water for our community events for a fair and just path way to citizenship to having spent nearly the past 11 years+ coaching soccer to young children and teenagers of color and refugees. Teaching them the same values he taught my siblings and I and giving them a place to foster discipline, be creative and build their community.
We need your support. Our goal is to raise 50K for any legal fees acquired and to be prepared to make bond. If you could DONATE any amount it would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar counts!!!
Help us keep our family together.
With Gratitude, LOVE and HOPE,
Liz Luna
