Help Liz's Fight Against Metastatic Brain Cancer

Hello Everyone,
I hope this message finds you well, and truly, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for even clicking this link. I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear stepmom, Elizabeth Cassidy (Kaminski), to share her courageous battle against metastatic brain cancer. Liz, as we fondly call her, has recently been diagnosed with this challenging form of cancer, and she's facing a tough road ahead.
In November, Liz began experiencing periodic seizures, initially attributed to a past neck injury. However, it was only after her diagnosis that we learned the true cause – metastatic brain cancer.
Initially, doctors believed that the cancer had spread from her colon, causing great concern and worry for our family. However, after further testing, it was revealed that it was diverticulitis, not cancer. Despite this initial relief, subsequent tests showed that the cancer had, in fact, originated in her lung and spread to her brain, which is an extremely daunting situation.
Liz's treatment journey began on January 24, 2024, with 15 sessions of radiation therapy over three weeks to target her entire brain. Once she completes this crucial phase of treatment, she will embark on a challenging regimen of chemotherapy to address the cancerous spots on her lung, liver, and hip bone.
As her stepdaughter, I'm constantly inspired by Liz's strength and determination. Above all, she has an amazing attitude about all of this, which we all know is half of the battle. She's a true fighter, ready to do whatever it takes to conquer this relentless disease. However, she can't do it alone. Alongside the physical and emotional toll of her illness, her and my dad are facing mounting medical bills and high co-pays that I’ve been trying my best to assist with, but the rate at which they are coming in is honestly overwhelming for all of us.
Adding to the strain, my dad, who is on a fixed income due to disability, is also doing his best to support Liz through this challenging time. The financial burden has become overwhelming for both of them, and that's why I'm reaching out today.
Our family is humbly asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Any financial contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to us and would help alleviate the financial stress on Liz, my dad, and her 17-year-old son Nicholas.
Your support, whether it be financial, prayers, or a quick share of this post, will not only provide much-needed financial relief but also serve as a powerful reminder to Liz that there are caring souls out there standing with her in this fight. Together, we can help Liz in her battle against cancer and provide her with the strength she needs to overcome this tough chapter in her life.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering a donation and for keeping Liz in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for your support!
