In Loving Memory of Lauren Rebecca St Fort

Hi, my name is Marie St. Fort, and it is with a very heavy heart that I share the story of my sister Lauren St. Fort's recent tragedy. On Saturday, March 11, 2023, my sweet sister Lauren was shot multiple times causing spinal cord injuries, subsequent brain damage, and open fractures that have left her paralyzed from the neck down at this time. The medical costs and challenges ahead are unfathomable which is why I am pleading for support and help for Lauren. Unfortunately, the prognosis of her medical condition predicts that her life will never be the same. At this time, Lauren is on a ventilator and has developed pneumonia, but she hasn’t given up and neither has her family. Lauren is fighting for her life!

LoLo, my lovable 27-year-old compassionate sister is outgoing, loyal, and kind. She would always be on Facebook live making her friends laugh and sharing her amazing personality with everyone. If you know Lauren, you know that she is the life of the party, and she always goes out of her way to make people laugh. With a caring personality and a loving heart, Lauren always puts others first. She loves to cook, dance, and make others laugh too. Lauren believes in serving her community and protecting the people around her, which lead her to become a security officer for over 5 years and then transitioned to helping kids with special needs as a home health aide. This amazing woman deserves the chance to continue fighting for her life.

As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly challenging time for both Lauren and the family due to the emotional trauma and financial burdens of her ongoing medical care caused by this incident.
