Help "Long Valley Log Works" rise from the ashes
The Beckwourth-Sugar Fire is still raging and now has burned over 105,000 acres! Sadly, many homes and structures were lost, including the business of long-time Doyle Resident, Bill Betzer. Bill's Long Valley Log Works, where he had a large shop filled with tools, equipment, lumber and log creations that he had made, burned to the ground and everything in it was lost, including several other structures and very large logs and lumber that he had hand-milled.
Sadly, Bill had been unable to get insurance on his business prior to the fire!
As Bill's Brother-in-Law I know that he is one of the most generous and caring people in the world, and has always donated a lot of his time and labor to the Doyle community, and many of his log structures can be seen throughout Doyle, such as the Doyle Lizard Race teepee, the log table and chairs in front of Winje's Emporium & Country Store, and the sign down at the the Doyle Community Park which he had assisted the Boy Scout troop construct several years ago. Amazingly, all of these structures just mentioned were saved!
Bill has been working non-stop trying to get power back on his property as so many power lines had been destroyed in the fire and he and his wife have been without power for over a week!
Your help to get Long Valley Log Works to rise from the ashes and to get this man back on his feet would be greatly appreciated!!
