Help Lorena as she battles endometriosis
Donation protected
Hi all!
I’m not one to resort to this type of crowd-funding, but my friend Lorena could really use some help.
Lorena is 37, a single mom who relocated to the US and has worked very hard to learn the language, a new profession, get certified and survive in a very expensive area, while being away from her family. Lorena was diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis in 2019 and has had to undergo 7 surgeries since then, one removing her uterus, and most recently, her cervix. Outside of the surgeries, she has lived with a lot of pain and constant bleeding. It has been a very painful and exhausting journey for her and if you know her, you know she keeps smiling and trying to stay positive.
Endometriosis is a chronic disease that affects about 11% of women and has no known cure at this time. This is something that she will continue struggling with but we’re hopeful she finally has a period of relief after a few very difficult years.
We all know how expensive healthcare is in the US, so you can imagine the financial burden this has created for her (7 surgeries, meds, and missed work due to the condition).
Any little bit you can spare will be a big help and will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to consider this and for your help if you’re able to.
