Help Lorenzo Gain a Lifesaving Service Dog
As many of you know, Lorenzo has been diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called an oligodendroglioma, which accounts for only 1.3% of brain tumors. Despite undergoing 449 days of chemotherapy and radiation, the continued risk of seizures remains a constant part of his life. Because of this, Lorenzo qualifies for an amazing service through Angel Retrievers. This service provides assistance dogs to help navigate life and assist in medical emergencies, like Lorenzo experiences.
This incredible animal will play a critical role in Lorenzo's life by ensuring help is retrieved, medication is available, and emergency services are contacted if needed.
A specially trained service dog will provide Lorenzo with the following vital support: - Alerting him prior to a seizure, giving him time to get to a safe place. - Retrieving his medication during an episode. - Seeking emergency help when needed. - Dialing 911 if necessary. This service dog will significantly improve Lorenzo's quality of life, restoring his confidence and providing a sense of normalcy. Knowing that his service animal is there to protect and aid him will help alleviate some of the anxiety that comes with his condition.
The costs associated with traveling, acquiring and maintaining a service dog are substantial. Your generous contributions will go directly towards the training and care of the service dog, as well as covering any additional health costs and medications that Lorenzo will undoubtably face. With your help, we can provide Lorenzo with the support he needs to navigate his condition more comfortably and confidently.
We are incredibly grateful for any assistance you can provide, whether it's a donation or sharing this campaign with others. Together, we can make a profound difference in Lorenzo's life by helping him gain this lifesaving companion.
