Help Lori get treatment

Hello, my name is Sarah Holick and I am raising funds for my mother in law, Lori Holick.

In December of 2023, Lori went for a biopsy to investigate 2 nodules on her left and right lung. In January of this year, we received devastating results that revealed stage 4 lung cancer. While trying to digest this life altering news, we were then told that due to the location of these nodules being so close to Lori’s heart, surgery was not an option. Stage 4 lung cancer, inoperable. Can you imagine receiving this news?

Life has not been the same since we received this news, and we couldn’t help but look elsewhere for treatment options. Life with your loved ones is the greatest gift, and that is all we want for not only Lori, but for us, and her beloved grandchildren.

Whether you are close to our family or not, I don’t think it is hard to see how Lori loves those around her, especially her family. She is the first one to open up her door, welcome you in and tell you to make yourself at home.

To say these past couple months have been stressful is an understatement. Let alone making the hard decision to seek treatment in hopes of extending your life, with the overwhelming cost looming over your head. We recognize that we have a long road ahead of us, but with the diagnosis we have received, we want to move as quickly as possible to get Lori the treatment that will hopefully save her life.

Lori is currently booked in for treatment to begin on March 11th, in San Diego, California. No matter the denomination of your contribution, funds raised will be used to help pay for the treatment cost. We hope this helps to alleviate some of the financial stress during this difficult time.

Anything helps, and if you are not in the position to contribute financially, please share in hopes to spread the word. I am deeply sorry if this is how you are finding out, but we have kept this close to our hearts as we come to terms with the diagnosis and knew what path we were taking moving forward.
